The Real Management Company is a team of property management, accounting, and maintenance professionals with a wealth of accumulated knowledge and experience.

• Joel Panzer, MPM - President and General Property Manager: Joel founded The Real Management Company in 1980. He established his reputation in the San Francisco professional property management community by taking on some of the toughest, often out of control, properties in the city and turning them into profitable, safe, well-run properties. In 1982, he realized that property managers had more to gain from working together than competing against one another in a rapidly changing legal and political environment. To this end he founded and was the President of the Professional Property Management Association of San Francisco (PPMA). Today, the PPMA boasts more than 60 professional property management companies as members and over 30 affiliated vendor companies. Joel holds a Master's Degree in Educational Technology from San Francisco State University and is a recognized expert in the fields of property management, and due diligence. Joel has written numerous articles for professional journals and lectured for the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM). Joel is a Master Property Manager (MPM) and is one of fewer than 110 Master Property Managers nationwide.

• J.J. Panzer, CCRM, Broker: J.J. has been with RMC since December, 2002. He graduated from The University of California, Berkeley in June, 2002 with a major in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business. He earned his California Certified Residential Manager certification from the California Apartment Association in March, 2004 and holds a California Real Estate Broker's License.
• Sue Nieters, Bookkeeper: Sue recently joined RMC. She has had extensive experience in real estate management accounting and has worked in accounting and bookkeeping with other companies in different industries before coming to RMC along with many years of property management experience.
• John Fedele, Property Manager: John has been a wonderful addition to RMC and brings his extensive knowledge of property management and maintenance management to our team. John has been with RMC for 8 years and has an excellent working relationship with clients and tenants.
• Karen Sarantitis, Property Assistant: Karen brings her bubbling personality and assists clients and tenants with the management process. Karen brings many years of administrative knowledge to RMC along with her customer service skills.
• Howard Sobel: Howard joined the RMC team in March, 2003 and operates the office on the weekends. He brings a unique combination of special skills to his position as weekend manager. Howard is a certified financial planner, licensed real estate salesperson, property manager, and accomplished restauranteur and chef. Howard assists prospective tenants with their rental applications, processes and performs background checks to get tenants into their new homes as quickly as possible.
